Last updated: 22 October 2026 (no ads, Verdictly Plus, photos from your library, trial reminder, on-device menu reading)
Verdictly is a decision app. It is built so that your decisions stay on your device.
Who we are
Verdictly is made by Sanchu LLC (https://sanchullc.com), 8 The Green, Suite R, Dover, DE 19901, USA, sanchu@sanchullc.com. Grievance officer (India): Sanchu Kesavamurthy, sanchu@sanchullc.com. We reply within 30 days.
What Verdictly stores
Everything below is stored only on your phone, in the app’s private storage:
- The questions and choices you type, the results, and whether you marked them WORKED or DIDN’T (your Journal).
- Notes you type about a decision, and voice notes you choose to record.
- Your name, if you tell Deci what to call you.
- Your progress: coins, tiers, streaks, achievements, the items you’ve bought with coins, and your settings.
- Photos you take or pick from your library of the things you’re choosing between (see Camera and photos below), and share-card pictures you make.
Verdictly has no account, no server of its own and no analytics. Your journal, notes, voice notes, photos and name are never sent to us or to anyone else. One outside service is involved, only as described below: RevenueCat confirms a Verdictly Plus subscription. Verdictly shows no ads and contains no advertising software. Deleting the app deletes all of it, except share cards saved to your photo library (see Share cards). You can also wipe everything inside the app any time from Settings → Reset progress, which deletes your journal, notes, voice notes, photos, coins and progress, and the cards stored inside the app. It does not touch cards you saved to your photo gallery (or, on Android, to Pictures/Verdictly), a save you copied out yourself, or your phone’s own backups. Your settings and Verdictly Plus stay.
Phone backups: like most apps, Verdictly’s private storage can be included in your phone’s own backup (iCloud or Google backup), under your account and your phone’s settings. We never receive it.
Microphone (optional)
Verdictly asks for the microphone only if you turn on "Blow into the mic to start" or record a voice note.
- Blowing on the dandelion: the sound level is read live to notice a breath, and is never recorded or saved.
- Voice notes: recorded only while you press Record, saved as a file on your phone, and never uploaded.
You can say no, or turn the microphone off later in your phone’s settings. Tapping works just as well.
Camera and photos (optional)
When you choose Add by photo or list, your phone asks whether to take a photo or pick one from your library — of the things you’re choosing between, or a menu. The camera is used only if you take a photo; when you pick from your library, Verdictly receives only the photos you pick, never the rest of your library. Photos are kept small and saved only in the app’s private storage on your phone. They are never uploaded, and they are never shown to the purchase service. Reset progress deletes them.
Reading a menu: when you snap a menu, your phone’s own built-in text recognition (Apple Vision on iPhone, Google ML Kit on Android) reads the dish names on the device. The picture and the text never leave your phone, and no AI service is used. On Android, Google ML Kit may send Google basic diagnostics about the reader itself (device model, app version, how long reading took) — never the photo or the text.
Notifications (optional)
If you choose a time for the daily nudge (the offer after your first daily dilemma, or the Gentle reminder on the Daily dilemma screen), Verdictly schedules one local notification a day on your phone, and only then asks your phone for permission to show notifications. It is created on the device itself — no push service, no tracking. Its text is always the same, "Today’s question is waiting."; it never contains your question, your name or anything else you wrote. Turn it off on the Daily dilemma screen or in your phone’s settings.
If you subscribe to Verdictly Plus and tap Remind me on the Plus status page, Verdictly schedules one local notification two days before your free trial ends (and asks for permission to show notifications if it has not yet). It is created on your phone, reads “Your Plus trial ends in 2 days.”, and nothing about it is sent anywhere. It is only scheduled after you tap, and it is cancelled if you turn it off, the trial ends or you reset progress.
Share cards and links (optional)
When you tap Share, Verdictly draws a picture of that one decision (the answer, the machine, the date and a QR code that replays it) and a link. For light decisions, your question is included by default; you can switch Include my question off before sharing, and Heavy decisions keep the question out by default. Options are never shown on the web page. Nothing is sent anywhere unless you choose where to share it. The link looks like sanchullc.com/verdictly/r/#c=… The part after the # holds the decision (the question if included, the choices, the date and time, and the draw’s code, so anyone with the link can replay the same draw). Web browsers never send that part to a server, and our page reads it only inside the visitor’s own browser; we receive, store and log nothing from it, and the page uses no cookies, analytics or third-party requests. Anyone who gets your link, card or QR code can read what it contains and can pass it on, so share it as you would a message. Text on the page comes from the link itself, not from us. On Android, a copy of each card you share is saved to Pictures/Verdictly and stays there until you delete it, including after uninstalling. When someone opens a replay link, Verdictly asks before playing it.
Purchases
Coins are earned by playing and spent on looks and comfort inside the app. They can’t be bought with money.
Verdictly Plus is an optional yearly subscription, paid through Apple or Google — we never see your card details. To confirm your subscription on your devices, the app uses RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous app user id, the purchase receipt and the subscription status from the store. It does not receive your name, email or anything you decide in the app. RevenueCat’s policy: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy
Nothing you can buy ever changes the odds of a draw.
The browser version
The browser version keeps everything in your browser’s own storage. It loads nothing from other servers — its fonts are built in — and sends nothing anywhere. It asks for the microphone only if you turn on blowing on the dandelion, and nothing is recorded. It shows no ads and sells nothing.
Children
Verdictly is not made for children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their information. The app itself collects no personal information from anyone; the purchase service works as described above.
Your choices and rights
- Why we can do this: the subscription you bought (RevenueCat confirms it); everything else stays on your phone under your control.
- Your rights: to know what is processed, to delete it (Reset progress on the phone), to object, and to complain to your data-protection authority.
- EU/UK users: Verdictly is not offered in the EU, the EEA or the UK for now. Before it is, we will appoint an EU/UK representative and name them here.
- Transfers: RevenueCat (and, for menu-reader diagnostics on Android, Google) may process data in the US or elsewhere under their standard contractual clauses.
- How long: your on-device data stays until you delete it. RevenueCat keeps purchase records as long as needed for billing and tax.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the new version will be in the app and on this page, with a new date.
